  9. Thankfully  there don't appear to be any bugs at the moment, this is cos
  10. I  sat and did everything again from scratch as far as was reasonable (I
  11. didn't  re-write  the assembler "Text" command for example!), and so all
  12. of the routines SHOULD (ahem!) be bug-free.

  14. One thing you WILL notice though, and that is that the program will stop
  15. dead for half a second every now and again.  This isn't a bug in MY menu
  16. program, but a "feature" of AMOS Pro.  Basically AP shuffles it's string
  17. variables  every so often in a pathetic attempt at "Garbage Collection".
  18. This manifests itself as the entire program grinding to a halt while all
  19. these rogue bits are neatened out.  Does anybody know how I can turn the
  20. bloody thing off?

  25. I've  used the CrM RTDD patch because the assembler source we had didn't
  26. always  work  100%  with  AMOS, various things would happen - like files
  27. being recognised as CrM2 but not being saved out properly, the font bank
  28. being  corrupted,  and  on one memorable occasion, ALL of the AMOS banks
  29. being deleted from RAM, fascinating...

  31. This  means  that HD-Install is a bit awkward because you'll have to run
  32. RTDD to read the files, other than that...

  34. If  you  find  any  bugs, please PLEASE write to me telling me where you
  35. found  them,  what  your  setup  is, what you were doing at the time, if
  36. you're  male  or  female,  and if you're female, are you single?  I know
  37. this  quite cute dude who's DYING for it, it's Aladdin Sane but we don't
  38. hold that against him...
